The shift to robot welding is speeding up

The shift to robot welding is taking place in every corner of the world. Today, we proudly share the latest news from our home country, Finland.

Two Finnish workshop group companies, Konepaja Tremec Oy and AK Manufacturing Oy, have signed orders for state-of-the-art PEMA robot welding stations. Tremec’s production capabilities are strengthened with the PEMA Skytrack robot welding station, while AK Manufacturing’s two-cell robot station will serve customers as part of Alvarin Metalli Oy’s network.

Both stations are equipped with the world’s leading robot welding software, PEMA WeldControl 300, which includes Offline programming and Scan functions. Tremec’s PEMA Skytrack is also one of the first stations to feature the all-new PEMA PathPlanner. The automated weld path planner software will be officially launched later this year.

– We explored various options for automating our welding operations. The comprehensiveness of Pemamek’s package, especially the advanced features of the software, convinced us. The ability of the maintenance and support functions to meet our needs also supported the decision to choose PEMA solutions, says entrepreneur Arttu Alvari.
