Looking back, 2024 has been a year of remarkable events, development, and global engagement for Pemamek. Groundbreaking product launches and strategic partnerships this year have underscored our commitment to advancing the welding automation industry.
During the year we expanded the scope of our collaboration and co-development with our key customers. We value these deep relationships and the trust our customers place in us. This type of partnership sets a new standard for what we can achieve together.
Major milestones
One major milestone was the grand opening of Pemamek Iberia’s new facilities in Zaragoza. This expansion supports our growing customer base in Southern Europe and demonstrates our dedication to providing localized support and tailored solutions. With these new facilities, Pemamek Iberia is well-positioned to expand its role within Spain and Portugal’s industrial landscape. We remain committed to fostering strong partnerships, delivering cutting-edge welding automation solutions, and meeting the needs of local manufacturers with dedicated service and support.
Another highlight of the year was welcoming Miroslav Trávníček as our new Sales Director for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. This move reinforces our commitment to strengthening our presence in Central Europe. Miro has been active at exhibitions across the region this autumn, meeting customers and becoming a familiar face to many.
A year of events
We began the year by hosting global Partner Days at Pemamek HQ, where partners from around the world joined us for two days of training, product demonstrations, and networking. It was a great opportunity to strengthen connections and collaborate on shared goals.
Throughout 2024, we participated in over 24 exhibitions across Europe, Asia, the US, and Latin America. In the spring, we launched the PEMA Skytrack robotic welding station on a European tour, showcasing our advanced robotic welding solutions to multiple cities. Following its success, the PEMA Skytrack continued its journey, visiting six additional cities later in the year.
In December, we wrapped up the year with two major events: customer days for Finnish customers and the Vision 3D webinar. Despite the busy holiday season, both events saw high attendance and received excellent feedback.
Innovation and product development
On the innovation front, the global shift towards robotic welding and automation continues to gain momentum. This trend is visible not only in large-scale industries but also in smaller workshops increasingly investing in automation. Pemamek has been at the forefront of this transformation, providing advanced solutions that help businesses enhance efficiency and remain competitive.
One notable addition to our software solutions this year is the PathPlanner add-on feature for the WeldControl 300 Offline system. This tool enhances offline programming and simplifies path planning, making it accessible even to operators with limited programming experience. As the pool of skilled welders continues to shrink, tools like the PathPlanner are crucial in bridging the skills gap.
For the wind energy industry, we introduced two groundbreaking innovations: the PEMA Skycoil, a revolutionary induction preheater designed for offshore wind tower and foundation manufacturers, and a fully automated submerged arc multi-pass welding technology for handling heavy wall thicknesses. These technological breakthroughs demonstrate Pemamek’s commitment to solving the most challenging welding tasks.
In the shipbuilding sector, our Vision 3D scanning technology marked another significant advancement. This innovation enables precise and automated welding processes, streamlining production and enhancing quality.
Global partnerships
One example of a fruitful partnership this year was our collaboration with Fastems. Together with them, we delivered an autonomous welding Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) to the EFM Group, paving the way for more efficient and automated production lines. This project is an excellent example of how the combination of robotics, intelligent production control, and welding technology can take automation to a new level.
In the spring we joined forces with our partner HGG for customer days in the Netherlands. Two days of networking, new product development and of course, we also brought PEMA Skytrack to the event for live demos.
In the Asian market, we organized the Power Generation Seminar in Vietnam with our partners Davi, Ficep, and Lincoln Electric. A premier event was dedicated to the latest advancements in the wind, oil & gas, and pressure vessel industries and packed with insightful speeches, cutting-edge innovations, and networking opportunities.
To summarize
This year has been all about building connections, deepening our understanding of customer needs, and gaining insights into the industry’s direction. We’ve strengthened our relationships with customers, creating valuable opportunities and achieving significant breakthroughs together.
Thank you for being part of our journey this year—we look forward to seeing you again soon!
