Another successful Schweissen & Schneiden has come to an end. The S&S show, held in Düsseldorf, Germany, offered loads of interesting discussions, new connections, and unforgettable experiences. The five-day-long industry event gathered overall 50,000 visitors and more than 1,000 exhibitors from 120 different countries.
For many years, Schweissen & Schneiden has been considered as one of the industry-leading forums in Europe. This year’s S&S did not make any exception. To Düsseldorf, where this year’s „Welding & Cutting“ was held due to the renovations going on in the traditional location in Essen, over 1,000 exhibitors had taken their moving trucks and built exceptionally impressive booths to showcase their hi-tech industrial machinery and innovations.
In the official press release by Messe Essen, Oliver P. Kuhrt, CEO of Messe Essen, stated that the aftermath from Schweissen S& Schneiden once again proved that the event continues to maintain its position as the primary meeting place for visitors and exhibitors.
„These outstanding figures document the status of SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN as the undisputed number one in the sector. As the premier fair in the joining, cutting, and surfacing sectors, it has once more tapped the pulse. We have brought exhibitors and visitors together in a perfectly matching form. Thus, SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2017 has once more become the impetus provider for and driving force behind the whole sector.“
Pemamek’s booth, located in the robotics hall, totaled overall 184 square meters. The 6-meter tall stand structures, colored in PEMA blue, welcomed visitors all the way from the hall entrance. Each of the four Yaskawa Motoman robots, hanged from the supporting structures, held a 40-inch wide flat screen. Below each of the four robots was placed four different authentic heavy work-pieces; a bucket, tower node, micro panel, and a piece of 80 mm thick panel with semi-narrow gap and SAW multipass welding. The visitors could actually see and touch the welded pieces resulting from adaptive robotic welding, laser-hybrid and multipass welding, among others.
They say that time flies when you are having fun. The five days in Düsseldorf definitely flew by and the PEMA Team enjoyed every minute of it.
