Founded in 2017, Western Technological Solutions is one of the most eagerly growing subsidiaries of Western Shipyard which belongs to global Estonian corporation BLRT Grupp. Despite its young age, Western Technological Solutions has been very determined to follow its growth strategy and accomplish its future vision ever since it was founded. Today, the workshop employs 10 operators and the goal is to double the amount within the next few years.

Western Technological Solutions specializes in manufacturing thin-walled structures, such as stainless steel and aluminum tanks, but also constructions and pressure vessels for industrial, marine and offshore use and installations.
“Even though our customers come from different industry sectors, a common demand from all of them is that high production quality must be guaranteed. This is why we have invested in the most advanced production technologies. We want our customers to have a strong feeling of trust that they can count on us to deliver a high-quality product,” describes Mr. Kozikov.

For Western Technological Solutions Pemamek delivered a welding automation solution that is designed specifically for thin-walled tank production.
With a new greenfield factory, Western Technological Solutions was looking for a supplier that would have the knowledge and specialization in providing hightech welding and production automation technology, but also excels in turn-key deliveries.
“We knew what we are expecting from the welding technology; efficiency, reliability and highest quality at every turn. Our criteria for the provider was that the company should have the expertise to provide us a comprehensive delivery, starting from the production line layout design to solution installation and production support,” Vygantas Bružas, Director, Western Technological Solutions.
For Western Technological Solutions Pemamek delivered a welding automation solution that is designed specifically for thin-walled tank production. The delivery, completed in early 2019, included PEMA Column & Boom 6,5 x 5 HDS with SAW + MIG/MAG welding processes and TW6000-50 assembly station with side support arms.
The innovative assembly solution is equipped with individual fit-up cylinders and additional hydraulically movable supporting arms that ensure handling and accurate fit-up of thin wall shells. To push the shell against a section, the solution uses hydraulic movements. To guarantee effortless and safe operation, the assembly line is controlled with a wireless remote-control.
In addition to the delivery 2019, in 2012 Pemamek delivered PEMA Column & Boom 5×5 MD with SAW welding process and PEMA V 40000 horizontal positioner with 40 ton maximum capacity. In total, Pemamek has delivered 7 solutions to BLRT Grupp.
